Catch one if you can:
The lure of the catch-and-release, four-acre lake is unmistakable as residents enter the gates of Rancho Mirage. Stocked with fish and the many tall tales that follow, young ones of all ages enjoy the limitless opportunities for fun and family memories at the dock and lake ramada. Equipped with fishing pole and dreams of landing "the big one," anglers and non-anglers alike feel right at home amidst the series of rustic weirs, cascading water falls and carefully manicured surroundings.
Play ball. Or just have a ball.
Located a bit further south of the main entrance, residents are embraced by the many opportunities for fun and relaxation found within Rancho Mirage's main park. Here, a large group ramada overlooks the lush soccer fields, featuring amphitheater-style turf panels for impromptu picnics and family gatherings.
Overlook and parking areas are also connected to the rest of the park by a trail system, combining both a walking path and a running trail to guide exploration throughout Rancho Mirage. Taking this trail west leads to the main sports court complex where two lighted basketball courts and volleyball court provide plenty of opportunities to get in a game, day or night. Volleyball courts even feature cool-down, water sprays to make play as enjoyable as possible, regardless of the time of year. And further west, you'll find our main tot lot with a comfortable shade structure, so as not to hinder the fun of the little ones.
Away from the main park, there are a total of seven smaller parks spread throughout the community, giving every homeowner easy access to recreation and relaxation. At each of these parks, tot lots feature shade structures and ranch-style ramadas. And, just in case there is more volleyball than our main court can handle, we've built an additional court at a smaller park on the east side of the community so the fun never ends.
Take a hike.
In additional to the extensive trail system, two major greenbelt corridors run through Rancho Mirage with 8-foot wide, lighted pathways, inviting residents to take a hike, or just an evening stroll through their new neighborhood at the end of another perfect day.
